Is Bike Modification Legal In India?

Bike modification is illegal in India according to the Motor Vehicles Act. This means that you cannot make any changes to the engine, chassis or bodywork of your bike. 

If you do, your bike will be considered illegal and you will be liable for a fine.There are a few exceptions to this rule. You can make minor modifications to the exhaust and suspension of your bike, and you can also install a new seat or change the handlebar position. 

However, you should check with your local authorities to confirm what is allowed in your area. If you are caught making any major modifications to your bike, you will be liable for a fine.
